Assistant Project Manager

30 year old Capital Construction Project Management and Project Controls Firm is searching for a talented Assistant Project Manager to join their team.  Someone who is looking into a project manager in the future. The position will be located in the Walnut Creek, CA  Office.  This a full-time role with benefits.  

The Ideal candidate candidates will have 2+ years’ of experience supporting construction projects and a have a background in civil construction. Experience working with electrical utilities is a plus. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be willing to support Project Managers in the execution of various projects.  We are interested in individuals who are comfortable working with diversified teams in a fast paced environment.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop ad hoc reports using complex queries to aggregate pertinent information on various performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to think creatively and make quick and sound decisions.
  • Collaborative and capable of working with a team to resolve problems.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar.  
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
