HIGH-SPEED RAIL PROJECT CONTROLS SCHEDULER  

SACRAMENTO, CA  

We are searching for an experienced High-Speed Rail Project Scheduler. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in an exciting and high-profile project—the nation’s first high-speed rail system. Your expertise will help link California's major regions, support economic growth, promote environmental sustainability, create jobs, and safeguard agricultural and protected lands. This position will be located in Sacramento California. You must live in the area or be open to relocating.  

ABOUT THE COMPANY 

For over 30 years, our client's organization has been an industry leader providing Project Management Solutions to their clients on their Capital Construction Projects. Focusing in the Utilities, Oil, Gas, Water and other Large Construction Projects, their Project Controls Professionals have worked on some of the largest Capital Construction Projects throughout the US.

ABOUT THE ROLE 
The California High-Speed Rail project is one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S. The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The Project Scheduler will be an important part of the project controls team.   

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with operations teams, owners, and subcontractors to address work impacts and resolve issues. 

  • Assist in developing detailed working schedules for estimating purposes prior to proposal deadlines, illustrating the sequence of activities and contract timelines. 

  • Prepare and distribute proposal schedules and preliminary project timelines. 

  • Incorporate resource and cost-loading data into project schedules as needed. 

  • Act as a technical advisor to solve complex production challenges. 

  • Consult with project teams and follow estimating procedures to ensure thorough planning before work begins. 

  • Provide information on the content, modifications, or presentation of the project schedule. 

  • Identify and address scheduling software training needs, offering guidance and training as necessary; stay up-to-date on the latest software advancements. 

  • Continuously expand and update professional knowledge to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity. 

  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements related to the project schedule. 

  • Prepare schedule updates and narratives for submission to the project owner. 

  • Conduct time impact analyses for owner-caused delays. 

  • Stay aligned with Flatiron’s core values and strategic objectives. 

  • Support corporate policies and initiatives. 

  • Perform additional duties as directed by management. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution. 

Minimum of 5 years of high-speed rail construction scheduling experience. 

Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software. 

Salary range is approximately $120,000 to $170,000.
