Senior Account Executive – East Coast (Remote)

Location: Remote (Preference for Mid-East Coast)
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

Healthy and Organic Flavors and Ingredients manufacturer is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Account Executive with a strong background in the flavor industry—particularly in sweet and savory applications. This role will drive growth through strategic sales initiatives, key account management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for assigned territory to meet growth objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sweet and savory flavor sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized flavor solutions.
  • Manage existing key accounts while acquiring new clients.
  • Accurately track and report sales performance using Salesforce.com.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's product portfolio and its applications.
  • Negotiate client contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for leadership.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Partner with internal departments (Finance, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Applications) to meet client needs and improve service delivery.
  • Lead the development of innovative product concepts for client presentations.
  • Promote company services and programs across assigned territories.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in sweet and savory flavors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the flavor industry and current market trends.
  • Proven success working with brand owners, formulators, and contract manufacturers in food, beverage, nutraceutical, and functional food sectors.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for trade shows, events, and client meetings.

Salary Range – Base Salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 with bonus and commission potential.
