SmartHire has been retained by All Trust Home Care to conduct a search for a Director of Home Care.  This individual will be a Registered Nurse (RN).  The position will be in their Hinsdale office.     

All Trust Home Care (All Trust) helps older adults live full, independent and dignified lives. For some, offering just the right amount of services and support in the comfort of one’s own home can make all the difference in the world.  Specializing in Memory Care and Support, All Trust provides their clients compassionate and professionally trained Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants to provide assistance with non-medical needs such as Personal Care, Meal Preparation, Medication Reminders, Transportation, Companionship, promote overall safety and more. They assist seniors living in their homes and in senior living communities.   

As part to the leadership team, the Director  is a registered nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Illinois.  The Director ’s key role is to manage and maintain the wellbeing of Client care. The Director’s key responsibilities are to provide leadership to the Quality Care Team while providing solutions and resolutions to challenging situations in the home. Director is responsible for providing reporting and analysis on departmental objectives as related to compliance, productivity, profitability, and projection. Additionally the Director is responsible for: 

Responsibilities / Activities
  • Lead, Develop and Support the Quality Care Team including Quality Care Supervisors, Quality Care Support Specialist, Quality Care Placement Specialist and on call staff.
  • Coach, Mentor and Discipline, when needed, all direct reports while training Quality Care Supervisors to do the same
  • Meet with VP of Marketing and Quality Care Placement Specialist weekly to discuss new cases
  • Meet with Vice President of Operations bi-weekly to review departmental analysis and compliance along with brainstorming solutions and processes to improve our operations
  • Ensure all clients are visited within the first two weeks of service and every 60 days thereafter, to ensure Care Plans are accurate and the caregiver(s) assigned in meeting/exceeding clients’ expectations
  • Ensure Gross Profit Margins are healthy
  • Conduct home visits personally when needed for complex clients, service issues or as needed for Supervisor training
  • Provide solutions / resolutions to challenging situations in the home
  • Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing as needed to handle Customer Service challenges
  • Conduct Quality Improvement meetings with Vice President of Operations to ensure all cases are healthy
  • Coordinate with the Vice President of Education in the development of staff training programs
  • Oversee and develop new programs (i.e. – TLC / Music and Memory, Caregiver Mentor Program)
  • Provide hands-on training to Caregivers in the home as needed
  • Manage investigation/ incident reports/complaint log records and conduct follow-up as needed
  • Work with HR & Compliance Manager to conduct safety investigations
  • Manage reporting to IDPH and APS
  •  Provide investigation record reports to the Vice President of Operations as requested
  • Communicate with, and provide feedback to, other departments as needed
  • Assist with operation reporting /all other reporting as needed or as requested by Management
  • Attend meetings, leadership development, and professional development training as needed
  • Be available for phone calls after hours and on the weekends to direct Supervisors on call when needed

Required Knowledge / Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.  Licensed RN in the state of Illinois required.  
  • Must be able to effectively lead a team
  • Must possess the ability and desire to build strong, genuine relationships with employees and clients alike
  • Must have knowledge of general employment law as it pertains to supervision of staff
  • Must understand basic business principles and how they translate in analytics
  • Must be willing to travel across Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs
  • Computer Proficiency: Adept at using computer office management tools such as Excel, Word, Publisher and navigate the internet for other operational applications
  • Must have proven success in handling client and caregiver concerns
  • Must have a strong understanding of the client/caregiver experience in home care
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in a private duty home care setting or related field
  • Must have a strong understanding of the recruiting process
  • Must possess a strong understanding of the sales process
  • Must be highly organized, neat and able to plan daily work and long term projects.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and re-prioritize when necessary.
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Must have great oral and written communications skills with fluency in the English language.
  • Must have excellent phone etiquette
  • Must Treat all clients and employees with professionalism and respect
