Organic Food and Beverage manufacturing organization is searching for a talented Human Resources professional with experience administering payroll and benefits to join their growing organization. This is a Hybrid remote role with 3 days in the office 2 days from home.
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will be and integral part of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administers Payroll and HRIS system
- Assist the HRD in administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Assists in implementation of human resource policies and procedures; assists in benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, re-evaluation of policies
- Recruiting for all non-exempt personnel and temporary workers and assist HRD in recruiting of exempt personnel; conducts new employee orientations; writes and places advertisements
- Assists in workers compensation incident investigation, reporting and recordkeeping
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports
- Maintains human resource information system records, complies reports from the database for reporting purposes
- Assists in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Preparation of various Human Resource correspondence to employees
- Working closely with production managers at two locations to provide data and employee assistance
- Employee engagement
- Experience with HR in a multi-plant environment helpful
- Some knowledge of CA and NJ employment law helpful
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum for five years of experience in human resources, minimum of three years in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of three years of recruiting experience
- Minimum of one year administering payroll, preferably ADP Workforce Now or other ADP payroll platform
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situation and documentation
- Ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA, ACA and related state and federal regulations required
- Attention to detail and accuracy is an absolute must
- Good working knowledge MS Office
Salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 with discretionary bonus and full benefits.
