Expert Power BI Specialist

We are seeking an Expert Microsoft Power BI Specialist to join our team. This is a client facing role and the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, analytics, and have excellent problem-solving skills. As an expert Microsoft Power BI Specialist, you will be responsible for providing valuable insights and recommendations to clients to drive business growth and efficiency. Experience with MS Fabric a plus! 

This is a remote role; however, candidates MUST be located in Southern California anywhere from the Los Angeles area down to San Diego.

About Role
This individual will have strong experience in data connection and integration, data modeling, data visualization, and report and dashboard creation. They have mastery over DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and understand data security and governance. They are proficient in Power BI service management and performance optimization, integrating with other Microsoft services and providing training and support. Additionally, they can create custom visualizations and scripting, conduct scenario analysis and forecasting, and excel in collaboration and storytelling to drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to understand their business needs and challenges
- Utilize data analysis skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable recommendation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making processes
- Know how to design and develop Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate findings and proposed solutions
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports
- Utilize tools such as Tableau, SQL, and Visio to analyze data effectively
- Be able to design and optimize databases for performance and scalability
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Expert level of experience working with Microsoft Power BI
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations
- Ability to watch details while keeping the bigger picture in mind
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience working with data visualization tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate trends and patterns
- Work with linked data concepts to enhance data relationships
- Experience with database design principles and practices
- Understanding of Agile methodologies for project management

Base salary range is approximately $100,000 - $145,000 depending on knowledge and experience.
